Back in 2014 I read Fifty Shades of Grey. I found the series great fun to read, but the next author I read used exactly the same format. Billionaire lover with private islands, personal jets, mansions everywhere. Real life is not like that.
Would my story be worth reading? There was lots of sex, heartbreak, but no billionaire lover. Read the next few paragraphs and see if it grabs you.
My own life was hardly one which would make the Times Bestsellers List. I was born a quarter Chinese in Hertfordshire, just north of London. My father was a teacher and my mother was basically a housewife, as so many women were in the nineteen-fifties.
Dad managed to obtain a deputy headmaster position in a north Cornwall town and we moved to Gurney. Great fun - living at the seaside. In my new school, I was harassed for being Chinese. They called me Chinky and Sliteyes and other less complimentary names. Eventually, I settled into my schoolwork and was a top student.
I lost my virginity in Gurney and my father always disliked the boy I loved. He then got a headmaster's position in Stafford and my school romance was destroyed. He promised to write, but never did. I was devastated and heartbroken.
There was a new school in Stafford then Manchester University studying French, Cantonese and Mandarin. I already spoke and wrote Cantonese owing to my Granny being fluent, and my mother being able to speak it, but not write it. My lovelife also took an upswing with the uni party swing.
With my honours degree, I got a place at the Department of Trade and Industry where I began to climb the greasy pole. A good selection of greasy poles were also to be found in my bed! I hit a glass ceiling at the DTI because I wasn't a native Chinese speaker, so I began my own business.
Business had its problems but I survived one near-bankruptcy and more lovers, including a brief lesbian fling. I also married, but it didn't last long. He beat me and almost killed me.
Then I got old. That's the trouble with life. It's followed by a slow deterioration and death. I retired to Bideford in Devon. You can see me in the image. Still attractive for my age, and still occasionally enjoying the sack, but lonely - then, amazingly, a miracle occurred. Sorry. If you want to know what it was, you'll have to read the books.
So, that's my life story. Twenty-plus lovers and terrific sex, but is it worth reading? You'll have to be the judge.

It is amazing how years fly by as you get older, and in this novel, Angela is lonely and thinking of early retirement. She’s still extremely attractive and desirable, so the sex continues, but long-term relationships always seem to escape her grasp. Then, something miraculous occurs. Sorry, no spoilers in this blurb, you’re going to have to buy the book to find out what happens. Angela’s stories are extremely explicit, so be warned. This prequel novella to the Enduring Love Series, introduces readers to Angela. You’ll also discover how she falls for the love of her life. My writing is semi-autobiographical in nature. I have changed locations and people so as to protect the innocent. Sadly, such protection extends to the guilty and the evil! As the books represent a life story, I have written them in the style I might have used at the time of the story. In this one, I was a teenage schoolgirl, so I hope the characterisation emerges through the writing. That's me, second from the left. Currently, there are large number of erotic books which include billionaire lovers and mega moguls. Perhaps it is time for a book like mine, which follows an ordinary woman through many affairs and an interesting life. The fact that men always found me incredibly attractive and desirable, makes the whole tale exciting from the erotic standpoint, and I tell it with no holds barred, and in the most intimate detail. Learning Chinese requires a detailed memory - there are thousands of hanji - Chinese characters. It is far, far easier to remember the thrills I experienced in the bedroom!
